Reunion

Reunion is define as a social gathering attended by members of a certain group of people who have not seen each other for some time.

Well, esok semua bebudak Menengah Sultan Sulaiman Shah, Batang Berjuntai, Class of 92 akan ber'reunion' after 21 year since we last saw each other...( there's goes my age).

How do I feel? Ehmm...if it was based on how it was in the movie, I might not even think of coming to this reunion. You know the kind of movie that everybody is trying to top and show off how well they are doing all this years or how there still look young etc...Fortunately, the excitement of meeting old friends and teachers overwrite any scary feeling which might have been there for a while.

Funny though even after 21 years, i still can remember it like it was yesterday. Don't know what gonna happen tomorrow but what I know for sure, it is going to be a blast !

Why everything French?

Reading through Oprah today and come across French laundry. What is it about French? French kiss, French toast, even a laundry has to smell like French. Why can't it be Malay laundry or Malay toast or nasi goreng Malay?

37 younger

I was supposed to post this entry last Saturday nite, but feel a bit overwhelmed dgn no 37 tu sbb delayed :) .
I would to thank everyone who cared enough to wish me a wonderful birthday. Having all of you in my life definitely brightened my life. I know I'm not the easiest person to live with so thank you for allowing me to be in your life which definitely an honor...

Mission continued ;)

Semalam misi menghabiskan kain continued. Well I only started at 6pm since Encik Suami ajak berjalan2 ke Puchong hobinya towards toys with remote control thingy. On the way balik, singgah Tesco Shah Alam beli ration for traveling esok and take-away lunch (rajin sgt kan memasak :) ). Lepas makan nak rest plak tu yg projek mula lambat :).

So apa plak projeknya, you may ask ( as if ramai la yg baca ). Xder grand pun but I have been stalling on it for months. So I decided to finished it pronto and cross it out of my mental-to-list ( kak LG you are my inspiration he..he..)

1st project for today - cover for throw pillows. If you look at it, you won't see that the color is light green, too light it looks like white. Cover ni main potong betul2 ikut saiz bantal tu. don't ask what kind of kain is that he..he..All I know it is really...really... soft gitu.




It took me almost 1 hour to finish it while tend to many question and request from my puteri. This is my first attempt on slip cover, so glad it turn out right. Now I can buy more throw pillow and make customized cover for it ( ye lah tu, bila la pulak nak siap ya :) ).

Well, the second project is to jahitkan angry bird theme blanket for my puteri. Kain ni dh tersimpan since last March. Punya lah lama kan. Apa nak buat, Ibu if nak menjahit ni kena ader mood ( alasan ;) ).

Saiz nyer around 3ft x 3.5 ft approx. this is her second blanket I make for her. The printed material is cotton but not sure about the back one. It kind of material macam gebar.

Third project is to cover the Barney bolster, which I would not dare to show you the before condition, span dh kuar2 since only one layer of fabrics were used by the manufacturer.

As you can see, I used a leftovers fabric for the blanket. This is also my 1st attempt and it look ok. I use a leftover ribbon I found during my spring cleaning, to be the tail to tie on the top side. I have found the technique to attach the round cut for the bottom in YouTube. It look easy and it is easy.

Another productive day indeed...

Aktiviti cuti panjang

Ha..minggu ni cuti panjang sebab ofis tutup sempuna Diwali dan Awal Muharram. So dari minggu lepas Ibu dah buat plan mcm mana nk jadikan cuti ni productive :).
Ni dia to do list:
1- Kemas bilik belakang, sambung operasi spring cleaning last 2 weeks.
2- Organize barang2 yg still survive after spring cleaning.
3- Bercucuk tanam.
Setakat ni, still kat no 1 and 2 sbb, in order nak buat task 1 and 2, kena decide what can I do with kain2 lebih yang penuh 2 kotak paper A4. Jadikan, sebab tu lah yang no 3 tu masih x dapat dibuat lagi.
So, Monday, pack benda2 yang berjaya ke peringkat akhir spring cleaning, sbb even ari tu dh buat berplastik2 bag sampah yang besar tu (8 to b exact), still on Monday I managed to throw another 1 bag :). Punya lah banyak sampah. Tuesday plak sort stok kain2 sambil buat mini pie sardin for tea. Pagi tu brunch terus so tu pasal tea kena yang berat2 sikit. Najwa ate 7 mini pie. Lapar sungguh dia :).
Anyway, today start project menjahit. Semalam dah siap asing-asingkan kain untuk project ari ni. So as at this moment, I dah siap re-upholster my dining table chair. Ader lebih kain langsir for my bedroom hari tu, baik la digunakan jer kan :).
So inilah hasilnya, jeng..jeng..jeng..
You may notice ader dua kerusi yang lain covernyer. Yang merah tu lebih kain lagsir my room. Yang pink tu untuk my daughter and yang lagi satu tu for my sewing chair.
